Description
What is Esomeprazole?
Esomeprazole is a prescription only medication available in the UK. It belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which are used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. PPIs work by working on the cells that line the stomach, consequently reducing the amount of stomach acid produced.
What is acid reflux?
When acid from the stomach leaks up into the gullet (oesophagus), the condition is known as acid reflux. This may cause heartburn and other symptoms.
What is heartburn?
Heartburn is a painful burning feeling just below or behind the breastbone. It usually comes from the oesophagus. The pain often rises in your chest and may spread to your neck or throat.
How to use
One tablet is to be taken daily. This dose should not be exceeded and should be swallowed whole with some water. You can take your tablet with food or on an empty stomach and can be taken at any time of the day.
Side Effects
Like all medication, there is some risk of side effects such as:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Vomiting
- Constipation
- Lower back pain

Returns
If you’re not completely satisfied with your order, you can return it within 14 days. (Exclusions apply)
