ethinylestradiol and norgestimate. This medication is taken to prevent pregnancy. The way the medication works is that it tricks the body into thinking that ovulation has already happened and so stops the egg from being released.
Cilest is known to be 99% effective in preventing unwanted pregnancy, if taken in the correct way, as instructed on the patient information leaflet. However, it is important to note that this pill will not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
