What is Vitaros?
Vitaros is a fast-acting topical erectile dysfunction treatment that comes as a cream. Vitaros contains the active ingredient Alprostadil and works by widening the blood vessels of the penis to enable more blood to fill the chambers during sexual stimulation.
What is Vitaros?
The cream is designed for topical use in the form of disposable individual applicators and is suited to men who require or prefer an alternative to impotence treatments in pill form. Vitaros proves particularly popular with men who have not found other erectile dysfunction medication to achieve the desired results or who have experienced significant side effects from the treatment. An added benefit of Vitaros is that it is suitable for men who take other prescription medications and cannot use PDE-5 inhibitors such as Viagra, Cialis or Levitra.
For men who require fast, effective treatment for erectile dysfunction, Vitaros can also prepare you for intercourse in as little as 5 minutes, and allows you to gain a solid erection for up to 2 hours.
How it works
Vitaros contains a unique skin-permeation enhancer. This means that the active ingredient Alprostadil can be absorbed through the glans of the penis rapidly, where it helps the blood vessels to widen (vasodilation). The result of this process is improved blood flow to the penis and a firmer erection for a more enjoyable sexual experience.

How to use
How to use Vitaros
Please consult the enclosed patient information leaflet before using Vitaros.
Vitaros is designed for application directly to the opening of the penis (meatus). The recommended dosage for Vitaros is a single application of cream, no more than once a day. It is advisable to apply the cream 10-20 minutes before sexual intercourse, although results may be achieved in as little as 5 minutes.
As with impotence treatments taken orally, Vitaros will only cause you to gain an erection when sexually stimulated and will not result in an unmanageable and irreversible hardness throughout the duration of the 4-hour period. Vitaros should not be used more than 2-3 times in a week and should be stored in the fridge. It can be kept outside of the fridge for no longer than 3 days, after which the effectiveness of the medication may be affected.
It is important to note that if your partner is pregnant, has the potential to fall pregnant or is a breast-feeding women, a latex condom must be worn during sexual intercourse.
Vitaros is not suitable for men who suffer from priapism, sickle-cell anaemia, multiple myeloma.
Vitaros (Alprostadil) is available in a 300 microgram cream formulation for topical application to the penis.
Side Effects
Side effects can include mild localised penile irritation (burning, rashes, pain), however, these are reported to be rare and mild to moderate in severity. Similar adverse reactions may be felt by the partners of patients using Vitaros. It is for this reason that the use of latex condoms is advisable for men having intercourse with a pregnant partner, a breast-feeding partner or a partner likely to fall pregnant.

We aim to deliver orders within 3-5 working days to the shipping address provided by you in your order if the shipping address is in the UK. For orders being delivered outside mainland UK, this will be longer and we cannot give a guaranteed delivery time due to the differences between carriers. Delivery timescales are estimates only. If you do not receive your order within 14 days of us confirming your order has been sent you must notify us and we will investigate the non-delivery provided.
Prescriptions
Private prescription medicines are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00).
NHS prescription medicines are sent by Royal Mail Signed
Normal delivery charges will apply for non-prescription items in the same basket.
Returns
If you’re not completely satisfied with your order, you can return it within 28 days.
We cannot accept the return of prescription medicines.
